8 Amazing Uses for Oregano Essential Oil
Oregano Essential Oil is often found in starter kits as it has such wonderful wellness benefits, so it's included as one of the top 10 "must have oils", however it may not be one that you have used all that often due to the benefits being a mystery to most new users. Perhaps the most likely reason for this is that it may not be a favourite to diffuse (after all, there are more pleasant smelling aromas for the home than oregano). So now's the time to discover 8 amazing uses for your Oregano Essential Oil.
Oregano oil is actually what we call a "hot oil", meaning you will notice sensitivity to your skin when applied neat. As such it is necessary to dilute with a carrier oil or lotion BEFORE applying topically to the skin. I recommend a dilution ratio of 1 drop oregano oil to 3 drops carrier oil, or 1 teaspoon of lotion.
Below you will find 8 great uses for this oil that you may not have heard about.
1) Foot & Nail Care*
Public areas such as swimming baths may be a concern when it comes to foot and nail cleanliness. As such, using a oregano oil as part of a herbal foot cream can give you a peace of mind. Click here for my free recipe to make your own herbal foot cream.
2) Household Cleaner
Oregano essential oil is highly cleansing and purifying. Add 10 drops to a 16oz spray bottle with water, and use it to spray on surfaces and countertops. Also try it in damp and dark walls and shower/bath corners.

For those times when you have eaten something disagreeable or where you may have encountered improper food practices, take 2 drops of oregano essential oil in an empty veggie capsule. This helps to promote the secretion of digestive juices and settle digestive discomfort.
